I am back in the lovely US of A after two weeks of globe-trotting. Travel is fun, but hotels and living out of a suitcase gets old after a while. The weather in Europe was, however, so much better than the intense HEAT! of Phoenix. I forgot how oppressive it gets here.

Here I am in a swank French hotel in Strasbourg, listening to the cars go past below the open window and watching the people coming and going from the train station. There’s wireless internet here, so I’m taking the opportunity to write more about my globetrotting summer.

Albania is pretty cool so far. The non-reliable nature of the water and electricty takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s really not so bad. I’m in Albania right now, land of wandering cows, crazy honking drivers, beautiful mountain landscapes, and WEDDINGS! Apparently August is the month for weddings–we’ve seen at least seven weddings in the last couple days. There are traditions that go along with getting married in Albania, like:
